Tarotcast for week of February 26, 2017

This week I have shared a variety of still life paintings. This art form has always fascinated me. Some may see still life as boring or on the “lowest rung in the hierarchies of art. Until you start to wonder why did the artist choose these combination of things to paint. To me these paintings convey an intimacy of who that artist is, because each item is a window into the artists everyday life: the food they eat, the flowers they buy or have in their gardens, the books they read, the stuff on their shelves… These are glimpses into what they do when they aren’t doing art.

I marvel at the varied perspectives that artists bring to our lives and how they can highlight something that is everyday and elevate it to mean something. I believe we all bring our perspectives to the table in some form or fashion. What do you bring to the table? What things would you pick to represent your still life?

P.S. Remember, signs with * it’s a big week for you.

Aries – Six of Swords – Another week of you in your head with back to back weeks of swords. The Six of Swords advises that if you can do some contemplation by the water or at least take a small trip to leave familiar surroundings. Seeing new places will lead you to seeing new perspectives or solutions.

Taurus – Knight of Wands – The Tower last week foretold that there is a crack in the foundation of something in your life.  Hopefully you have identified it and started to fix it. This Knight tells you to take a more creative “out of the box” approach to finding the solutions to fix your cracks.

Gemini – Knight of Swords – The Knight of Swords advises you to slow down this week. This is not a week to make big decisions, sign contracts, do any legal work, or get into discourse. If you have to, make sure you read all the fine print twice and  you actually want to commit to what you say or do.

*Cancer – Devil and Justice – Big week for you with the Devil and Justice. First the Devil’s lesson are around temptation, obsessive thinking and humor. You are taking life too seriously so try to bring some humor into it. Justice advice is that your problems will solve themselves with time. So when you are tempted to dabble into things, remember the better solution is to let things play out on their own… And remember laughter is the best medicine.

Leo – Three of Wands – This week you will need to practice patience and not start anything new. Keep yourself busy by finishing up old projects, prepping for new projects, or gathering resources. This is not a week to put anymore on your plate.

Virgo – Ace of Wands – Ace of Wands suggests that this week you take time for creativity and taking care of your spirit. This Ace challenges you to expand and learn more about who you are by letting your creativity or spirit free.

*Libra – Hierophant – This week, the Hierophant’s lesson is around boundaries. This card challenges you to look at your boundaries, how you limit yourself and how you protect yourself. By re-assessing where your boundaries are, you will be able to do more and with more ease.

*Scorpio – The Empress – Last week, The Fool challenged you to laugh. The Empress continues this theme of enjoyment by wanting you to explore what makes you happy. The Empress challenges you to find and do the things that you love, make you comfy, and make you sing with joy or love.

Sagittarius – Queen of Cups – This week the Queen of Cups is begging you to have some fun. Whatever makes you laugh, dance, make funny faces, please do at least something that make you smile everyday this week.

*Capricorn – Wheel of Fortune – This week take a chance, do something new, and ponder things that would change your fortune. Just be careful of karma, everything you put out there, good or bad, goes on the score sheet this week.

Aquarius – Eight of Cups – Last week, The Hermit challenged you to find some alone time to ponder on big ideas you had on the back burner. This week, the Eight of Cups is challenging you to let go of ideas you find that aren’t worth keeping on the stove at all.

Pisces – Knight of Wands – Knights’ lesson are around what motivates you to continue on your path. So the Knight of Wands is suggesting that you stick with the what you started last week: projects, meeting people and/or being creative.

May light be on you, around you, and within you,
Nina
