Tarot and Art-cast for April 21 – May 4, 2024

nature photography
Amet Eshel Nubian Ibex

Happy birth month Taurus!

The artists this week are the winners of the World Nature Photography Awards.  Every year around Earth Day I highlight nature photography awards winners.  In the past the only way for people to see animals and plants from other places was museums and illustrations.  Now with photography we can get a literal birds-eye view of our world.   And the more we can see the world the more we can understand it and then protect it.  As Chief Dan George of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation said: “If you talk to the animals, they will talk with you and you will know each other. If you do not talk to them, you will not know them and what you do not know, you will fear. What one fears, one destroys.” So go out, get close to the flora and fauna and do some of your own nature photography.

Your pondering for this week:  We must protect the forests for our children, grandchildren, and children yet to be born. We must protect the forests for those who can’t speak for themselves such as the birds, animals, fish, and trees.”- Qwatsinas  (Hereditary Chief Edward Moody), Nuxalk Nation.  What do you or can you pledge to do this year to help care for Mother Nature?

Solar System highlights

The moon begins in Libra – harmony and balance are the focus. On Wednesday the moon moves into Scorpio – follow your passion.  Then on Friday it moves into Sagittarius – get out, explore, and let fun be the focus.    On Sunday April 28th the moon moves into Capricorn – great for prepping for the work week.  On Wednesday May 1st it moves into Aquarius helping us think outside the box.  And we finish the two weeks with the moon in Pisces starting on Friday – wanting us to go with the flow.

Mercury is in Aries until May 15th giving us a crash course in learning to say what we need in a non-reactive way and working on making sure our actions follow our words.  And we finish with it in retrograde April 25th.  Venus stays with Mercury until April 29th during this teachable moment, giving us more grace when we are attempting to better our communication skills. Then Venus moves into Taurus, it’s home sign prompting us to focus on grounding and how we love.

Mars is still in Pisces with Saturn until April 30th.   And they are prompting us to act on being adaptable, especially in our day-to-day life.  Then Mars will join Mercury pushing us into action around how we communicate. However, from April 30th to May 15th this push can be dangerous.  We need to be careful that our actions follow our words.   And that we can curb being judgmental and harshness in our communication. In our words watch your tongue.

EXTRA

*** Signs with an * it is a big week for you.  Taurus this is a perfect time to get an Astrological Tarot Reading for your coming year.  And Scorpio it is your halfway mark for your birth year, so if you need a Planetary Reading for a check in now is the time. And I have a tip jar if you want to leave a gratuity for the weekly forecasts.

**** I am experimenting.   I have switched from using the older suits name (pentacles, cups, swords, and wands) to a more elemental way of reading them which is earth, water, air, and fire.  Also, I would like to leave the binary and feudal system of the RWS’s court cards.  So, the RWS old version is Page, Knight, Queen, and King is changing to Heart (pure embodiment of element), Body (moving the element), Spirit (living the element) and Mind (taking care of the element).

May light be on you, around you, and within you.

Nina

Aries
nature photography
Tracey Lund – Gannets

Nine of Air – To finish off your birth month the muses would like you to work with your worries for the coming year.  They suggest you write all of them out. Then vehemently cross off the ones you have no control over.  And with the rest, prioritize the list, and when Mercury goes direct on April 25th you can start working through them one by one.  With all these planets in your sign you need to focus slowing your mind down.

Taurus
nature photography
Miki Spitzer – Iceland glacier

*Death – The Muse of Organic Change would like you to spend the next two weeks doing some composting of ideas and/or projects that no longer work for you.  The challenge is seeing that what “use to work” still contributes to what you are trying to change.  In essence your past feeds your future.  So, if you deny or toss it away you can not use it as fuel for your potential growth.

Gemini
nature photography
Jouni Erola – Swan

Heart of Air – The Twin Muses of Inhaling and Exhaling are asking for the next two weeks to breath.  Now the challenge from these two is about the silence between the breaths.  By tunning into these breaks internally, you can tune into the subtle silences around you.   Listen to “the feel” of the story instead of the plot.  Read between the lines in a conversation.  Be curious, ask questions and deep listen to the answers.

Cancer
Bill Klipp Sally Light Foot Crabs

Three of Earth – The last two week the Muse of Building had you looking at adaptability in what you are developing.  These next two weeks the Muse of Collaboration would like you to focus on what you need or are lacking in skill and knowledge to further this project or idea. Then ask for help to fill in the gaps.  As they say 2 heads are better than 1, but 3 heads and 6 hands are even better, so expand your resources for intel and support.

Leo
nature photography
John Seager – Marine Iguana and Lava Lizard

Six of Earth – The Muse of Giving would like you to take part in an exchange of knowledge, love, or resources for the next two weeks.  By helping someone else, you begin to see that you are worthy of being helped yourself.  Giving goes both ways or it becomes self-centered. And remember the exchange does not have to be tit for tat or linear.  Be open to receiving from a stranger and that giving or getting does not have to be solely a physical exchange.

Virgo
nature photography
Richard Lee Cheetah

*Magician – The Muse of Manifestation is hanging with you for the next two weeks.  She usually shows up to help you in the process of creating.  Because either the universe doesn’t know what you want because you don’t, or there is an aspect(s) that needs to be tweaked. So, she suggests writing down what you are wanting to manifest or if you are in the process of creation what isn’t flowing.  The latter can look like you have missed a vital step in creation or a step in the process isn’t viable and needs an alternative.  This period is about experimentation.

Libra
nature photography
Chatree Lertsintanakorn – Thismia thaithongiana

Nine of Fire – The Muse of Resilience would like you to assess where you are at and what you need for the coming weeks.  She usually shows up when things are about to become busy.  So, she prompts to do things like fill up your freezer with readymade dinners and your pantry with on-the-go snacks.  Or do you have all the components for the coming projects?  Now is the time to chop wood and carry water to prep for the press of the coming months.

Scorpio
nature photography
Ivan Pedretti – Iceland

Six of Fire – The Muse of Celebration would like you to take these next two weeks and bask in all that you have accomplished since 2022.  She especially shows up for some of you that feel as if you have not accomplished anything.  Looking at the steps big or small that you have taken to get to the here and is pretty amazing.  Take a moment to reconnect and enjoy what you have created, for you need the rest and jubilation to ready you for the coming challenges before your next birthday.

Sagittarius
nature photography
Nicholas Remy Angler Fish

*Strength – The Muse of Poise has arrived on your doorstep to have you show off your best side.  Poise is defined as “a dignified, self-confident manner or bearing; composure; self-possession: to show poise in company. Synonyms: refinement, grace, polish, self-confidence, steadiness; stability: intellectual poise.” So Centaurians these next two weeks the muses advise to be less like the freewheeling half-horse and more like Chiron the great educator. Show your demurer side so people can see your true strength.

Capricorn
Rafal Dymarkowski -Frog

Ten of Water – The Muse of Happiness is visiting you these next two weeks, to remind you that all work and no play makes Jill/Jack a dull person.  This is not an ease card for you goats.  For most of you after “kid” hood forget how to frolic and kick up your hooves.  You have replaced it with the perpetual mountain climbing that you innately do.  So, your challenge for the next two weeks is to find some time to enjoy life too.

Aquarius
Giovanni Crisafulli – Jellyfish

Four of Air – Holy Moly it has happened again, the Muse of Rest is back. This is now 8 weeks of the muses begging you to relax.  Yes, you all took some time off because the big momma of rest the Muse of Healing backed-off.  But you still need to pay attention to your output in comparison to your input.  Health and rest are still your focus for another two weeks.  Some examples can be as simple as getting massage, taking a three-day weekend, having a designated daily unplug time, or scheduling more activities that lighten you up without tiring you out.   (And just the statistic it is a 3 out of a 10 million chance that I would pull the same card 4 times in a row.  So, if you can’t listen to the Woo listen to the math.)  Get some rest.

Pisces
Philip Hamilton – Humpback Whale

Four of Fire – The Muse of Happy Home would like you to focus on making your environments cozy.  You can concentrate on your home, neighborhood, workspace, and the ultimate goal of the world at large.  She asks what support you need to feel safe, secure, and stable in your environment(s).   So, examples are finding like-minded people to hang with, decorating a corner nook in your house that helps you relax or getting to know your way around a new part of the city.

Tarot and Art-Cast for week of August 27, 2023

Ruth Asawa
Ruth Asawa Desert Planet

The artist this week is Ruth Asawa. She is known for her intricate wire sculptures. However, she also painted, did printmaking and was an activist for the arts and education.  She was a co-founder of Alvardo School Arts Workshop and instrumental in building a public high school for the arts in San Francisco in 1982.

What I find interesting is her daily drawing practice.  Drawing was her way to hone her perception and concentration.  By doing so she heightened her awareness of her surroundings.  In her words: “My curiosity was aroused by the idea of giving structural form to the images in my drawings.  These forms come from observing plants, the spiral shell of a snail, seeing light through insect wings, watching spiders repair their webs in the early morning, and seeing the sun through the droplets of water suspended from the tips of pine needles while watering my garden.”

Your pondering for the week: Asawa said: a child can learn something about colour, about design, and about observing objects in nature. If you do that, you grow into a greater awareness of things around you. Art will make people better, more highly skilled in thinking and improving whatever business one goes into, or whatever occupation. It makes a person broader.” How has art made you broader in life, understanding of self, and/or more attuned to your surroundings?

Solar System highlights

The moon begins in Capricorn – so we can jump into the week energized.  On Tuesday it moves into Aquarius – think outside the box.  On Thursday, the moon moves into Pisces – go with the flow. Then on Friday it moves into Aries – a great time to do small projects around the home.

Mercury (communication and knowledge) is now halfway through its 10 weeklong stay in Virgo (analyzation).  So, lessons continue with getting to the point when communicating.  Being clear and concise is the goal.  Mercury is in retrograde through Sept 13th.   Use this time as a pitstop to Reflect, Review and Redo.   Mars (action) moved into Libra (balance) until Oct 12th. Have us purview that our actions justify our goals    While Venus (beauty and harmony) is in Leo until October 8th.  This is a four-month exploration on the question: Does your outward expression of yourself harmonize with who you are within?

Jupiter (growth) is in Taurus until May 2024, an aspect that nurtures the expansion of pleasure in our lives.  The challenge is dipping into overindulgence while investigating this aspect.  Saturn (structures) is in Pisces (flow) until 2026.  Wanting us to make our structures elastic and responsive to change.  The challenge is our boundaries can get too bendy or have gaps, so we need to work on being flexible but resilient.

And lastly Pluto (the hidden, death, wealth, and shadow) is in Capricorn (work, structure, business, and discipline) until January 2024.  So, Pluto is back to playing in the world of business and capitalism. This cycle started in 2008, so whatever you started back then this is the time to tie up any lose ends especially around the house and planets in Capricorn in your natal chart.

***Signs with an * it is a big week for you.  Virgo this is a perfect time to get an Astrological Tarot Reading  for your coming year.  And Pisces it is your halfway mark for your birth year, so if you need a Planetary Reading  for a check in now is the time. Tarot and Art Forecast for Week of July 31, 2022

Hummingbird
Green Crowned Brilliant Chris Morgan

The artist this week is Mother Gaia.  There are over 365 species of hummingbirds. They only live in the Americas and range from Alaska to Chile.  Most species live in Central and South America.  A group of hummingbirds is called a charm; however, they are very anti-social except when mating. The smallest is the Bee Hummingbird which lives in Cuba (see Cancerian below) and weighs about the same as ¼ teaspoon of sugar (1.9grams).  They beat their wings between 10 to 80 times per second which produces the hum sound.  The fastest flyer is the Anna’s Hummingbird at 61 mph (see Capricorn below). It is also the only species that does not migrate in North America.

Hummingbirds are the only vertebrate that can hover, fly backwards and upside down.  Hummingbirds have the largest brain to body ration than any other bird, allowing them to have extraordinary memories.  They see like bees into the UV spectrum of light, which are the colors that flowers present to show where the nectar is.  They eat while awake about every 10 minutes.  So, they not only sip the nectar of 1,000-2,000 flowers a day, but they also eat small insect like gnats and aphids.

See Aries for photo:  This bird is not albino (can’t produce melanin) but is a rarer hummingbird that has leucism (produce melanin hence black eyes, feet, and some spots on feathers but can’t deposit other colors in their feathers).

Your pondering for the week:  Hummingbirds are one of my messengers from the universe.  What’s one of your messenger animals?

Solar System Highlights

The Moon starts in Virgo – great for cleaning and reducing clutter in your life.   Then it moves into Libra on the 2nd – relationships are highlighted.  Then Scorpio on the Thursday centering around passion.  By the weekend it is in Sagittarius – awesome for adventuring.

Mercury (communication and knowledge) is in Leo until the 4th – great for PR but watch that you are listening as much as you are sharing.  Then moves into Virgo a great time for sharing, helpful advice and hashing out solutions.  Venus (beauty and harmony) is in Cancer – beautify your home, spend time with loved ones and focus on self-care. Mars (action) is in Taurus, so action steps are at a saner, slower, and steadier pace.  Jupiter is in Aries until October 28th.  It influences action and expansion over the summer months.  And lastly, Saturn remains in Aquarius for all of 2022 – so innovating and upping your game is its focus.

P.S. Signs with an * it is a big week for you.  Leo this is a perfect time to get an Astrological Tarot Reading for your coming year.  And Aquarius it is your halfway mark for your birth year, so if you need a Planetary Reading for a check-in, now is the time.

*Moon – This period has been treating you a bit like a yo-yo.  Last two weeks were stops and starts and this week the muses advise to pull back in again. The Muse of the Subconscious is asking you to go back to your dreams and do some shadow work.  There is something blocking your forward path and your dreams can help unravel it.  For this week write a question down each night and see what answers or clues you find by morning.

Five of Swords – The Muse of Ego is here this week to help you navigate your emotions around dealing with other people’s egos.  You may be right in an assortment of scenarios this week but people around you are not ready or willing to heed your warnings or advise.  This is a week to pick your battles wisely and make sure your ego isn’t driving the conversation.

Page of Cups – The Muse of Play is here to help you loosen up.  You are too much in your head and need to let your intuitive creativity out to play.  The challenge with this energy is to make sure your play is not goal oriented.  This headspace is more about curiosity, discovery, and wonder.

King of Wands – The Muse of Superpowers wants you to find yours or if known then hone. She asks you what are your top three superpowers?  Known or not they will be called upon this week.  The beauty of that is this week’s challenges are not a struggle.  You have “the power”.  (Yes, that is a He-Man reference)

Leo

Most colorful – Rufous Hummingbird Scott Bechtel

*Death – Your second energy to work with this year is the Muse of Organic Change.    This Muse advises you to focus on areas that you want to change in your life.  Then she asks two questions: 1) What holds you back or that you need to get rid of, so you can have more physical resources to put towards new growth?  2)  What seeds would you like to plant for coming year?  The challenge with the later is to properly plant your seeds in groups that work together.  And planting seasonally so that they occur at the correct time.  Start this month planning for each season.  Remember this organic change is a yearlong process, so don’t try to push things faster than what can naturally happen.

Virgo
Longest tail- Long Tailed Sylph

Three of Swords – The Muse of Heartbreak is here to help you make an emotional breakthrough.  She does not come to herald sorrow but comes to heal deep wounds.  The challenge is when you are emotional triggered to not relive the trauma but see it as a wound that still needs tending to.  Self-care, self-parenting, and self-compassion are your tools this week.

Libra
Longest bill the Swordbill Hummingbird

Four of Cups – Last week the Muse of Clean Slates and New Adventure wanted you to play around with a new avenue, study, or project – to be out in the world.  This week the Muse of Introspection has you change your focus from outward to inward. This is a great week to rework, experiment, and ponder.  The challenge with this muse is she also requires for you to spend a fourth of your time in the world, for it has some of the solutions and information you will need.  So, divvy your time with ¾ inward and ¼ outward activities.

Scorpio
Hummingbirds
Largest hummingbird Patagona gigas

*Tower – The Muse of Revelation would like you to focus on the cracks in your foundations.  What needs to be retrofitted to endure the stress and strain of your life?  Do you need to eat better?  Sleep more?  Or is it more challenge like letting go of someone or a job that is slowly sucking your life-energy?  Now is time for a change before outer circumstances do it for you.

Two of Coins – The Muse of Juggling comes when you need to either practice balancing or when you are focusing on too much.  This muse advises breaking down your tasks and doing them one or two at a time.  This is not a week to multi-task, for you will most likely drop the ball or not carry out the task at hand with your typical diligence.

*Devil– The Muse of Maybe tried to help with the unpredictable energy of last week.  She asked you to be more flexible in your planning.   This week the Muse of Distraction requires the opposite skill set.  This week you need to focus and stick with plans unless your intuition tells you to run for the hills.  Think of this energy like bees.  One bee you can ignore or dodge and keep working, but a swarm you need to go back inside.

Two of Cups – The Muse of Love comes when you need to bond with a loved one.  The task is to knowing you and your partner/pet/chosen family’s love language. They are words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts and physical touch. Find out what makes you all tick and then take action.

She wants you to take action steps that will solidify your dreams and aspirations.  This can look as simple as working on a planned project, crossing off things on your to-do lists, or doing improvements to your home.   Or as complex as expanding your business or skill sets, investing in your future with property or in the stock market.

Tarot and Art Forecast for Week of June 20, 2021

Father’s Day
Cardinal Fish

Happy Summer Solstice, Happy Birthday to all you fellow Crabs out there and Happy Father’s Day.  There is a lot happening today.  Let’s take the celestial portion first.   Summer Solstice happens every year and marks the beginning of the summer, or winter depending on which hemisphere you live on.   It is the one of two times the Earth is farthest away from the Sun within a year.  During this season, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted towards the sun to get the most rays and the Southern to get the least.

On this day, the Sun is directly overhead the Tropic of Cancer hence its name; however, it has been over 2,000 years since the Sun enter the constellation for Cancer on solstice.   This is because of a motion of Earth called precession, the sun is always moving along the zodiac.  The cycle of this movement is 26,000 years long.  The sun moves toward the west.  Thus, relative to the zodiac’s backdrop of stars, the sun on every solstice appears a bit westward of the previous year’s solstice sun.  So, this solstice the sun is actually entering Taurus.

And lastly today is Father’s Day.  A shout out to all those men out there that co-parent or single parent the next generation.  Above pic is a male  Cardinal fish that holds the eggs in his mouth until they hatch.  He doesn’t eat for about a month while they mature.  And below are other father’s in the animal kingdom that take a larger part of the hatching/rearing of their young.

Planet highlights:  Moon starts in Scorpio this week, so be in touch with your sensuality.  It then goes into Sagittarius on 22nd – great for discovering new things, and then ends in Capricorn – focusing on structures.  Mercury is out of retrograde but still in Gemini until July 16th.  So, time to make those revisions of the last two weeks live.  Jupiter goes retro today, June 20.  It does this cycle every 399 days and lasts 4 months.  It is a great time to slow your roll but not to stop forward motion.  Remember while it is in Pisces, until the end of July, this gives you a window into the energies that will be around you in 2022.

P.S. Signs with an * it is a big week for you.  Cancer this is a perfect time to get an Astrological Tarot Reading for your coming year.  And Capricorn it is your halfway mark for your birth year, so if you need a Planetary Reading for a check-in, now is the time.

May light be on you, around you, and within you,

Nina

Aquarius
Darwin Frog

Five of Swords – The energy this week brings with it a feeling of chaos and distraction, like a nest of bees outside your window.  However, the Muse of Best Interests is here to keep you focus and on the right path.  Your challenge is to stay true to your integrity and humanity.  Go into any situation with the question:  What is best for me and for the other person I am interacting with? And if those conflict enact compassion and compromise for the both of you.

This is Spring/Fall Equinox week.  The ending and beginning of 2019/20 is showing the cracks we need to fix in our societal structures.  That climate change is real and that our world health care needs work.  However, let us not forget we are entering the time of rebirth and growth of spring for the northern hemisphere and a slowing down and consolidation of fall for the southern hemisphere.

This is a time to make change happen.  And these ordeals have shown us that like in South Korea people can calmly stand in line for masks and only take what they need so others can also have them.  That the non-profit organizations in Australia have tripled their expected donations from people around the world to help rebuild.  That our neighbors have said if you are quarantined that they will buy groceries for us.  That even when the worst shows up so does the best, with the Tower’s calamity the Star follows with its time of healing.  And that is what we could do as a world. We could metamorphize into a better beautifully holistic place to live. Where cause and effect are now seen as a world occurrence as much as a neighborhood one.

To represent this I picked the moth and butterfly illustrations of the Scott sister’s, Harriet and Helena.  They lived during the turn of the late 1800’s in New South Wales, Australia. Their most famous works were for the book Australian Lepidoptera and their Transformations written by their father. They depicted the life cycle, host plants of each species, detailed body parts and its habitat.  What made Harriet and Helena Scott  stand out from other illustrations was their use of live specimens, so the colors and shape are truer to form. And their landscapes where done in a black pen and ink wash, which made the colors of the insects stand out even more.  The lesson this art provides is in seeing not only the vivid detail but a holistic look at how we fit into and effect our landscapes and our societies.

May light be on you, around you, and within you,

Nina

Helena and Harriet ScottSix of Cups – Where last week had its sorrows, this week’s energy is much lighter.  The force that moves you forward is joy and playfulness.  The challenge is not being naïve about what is going on in your life, but to weather through this storm by touching base with your inner bliss finding the calmer path.

Taurus

Helena and Harriet Scott*Strength – The past couple of weeks have triggered your self-doubt and insecurities.  But this week you have the energy to see your inner strength if you give yourself compassion.  None of us are perfect and learning from your mistakes only makes you stronger.  However, the true key is seeing your imperfections as strengths.  These warps are what make your perception, intuition and strength unique and valuable to the larger community.  Believe in you and the world.

Gemini

Helena and Harriet Scott*Magician – The energy surrounding you this week is materializing the divine.  Your resourcefulness and concentration are needed to move things into action.  The challenge with this card is making your actions have altruistic components.  If you can conjure for the greater good, the work and solutions will come with ease.

Cancer

Helena and Harriet ScottFour of Swords – The energy is all about relaxation. Take this week to rest and recuperate from the past retrograde.  Allow your mind to wander without a goal and see what pops up but don’t act on it.  The best use of this energy is in meditation and contemplation not engagement.

Leo

Helena and Harriet ScottNine of Swords – Last week’s energy was about shaking things up and paying attention to the cracks in your foundation.  This week there are still some after-shocks that need attending to.  They are triggering your worries and possible anxieties.  You must remember that your worries have some aspect of facts; however, this energy can blow things out of proportion.  This week is more about figure out what worries you can fix and what are out of your control. Let go of those that have no solution at this time, and fix the cracks you can with more innovative and adaptable ways.

Virgo

Helena and Harriet ScottTen of Pentacles – This week’s energy is about endings on the material plane.  The challenge is that these endings give off a feeling of insecurity and instability. You will need to learn to let go of the old, so the new can come in with more ease and room.  Remember endings are also beginnings.

Libra

*Wheel – This week’s energy is about walking into your destiny.  Fate and luck are the aspects in play.  The definition of fate is the development of events beyond a person’s control, regarded as determined by a supernatural power and luck is success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one’s own actions.  This is an important lesson for you this week.  When your luck is favorable grab it and when it is unfavorable let it go. While realizing neither outcomes had anything to do with you.

Scorpio

Five of Wands – Compromise is key to the chaos produced this week.  The more that you find solutions that lead to agreement and harmony the easier the path.  This is not a week to stand on your principals alone.  Stand in the shoes of your “opponent” and see their side of the problem.  Doing so will not only produce solutions to your predicament but tap into your empathy for others.

Sagittarius

King of Swords – The conundrum for you is skating between the concepts of discipline and authority juxtaposed to manipulation and callousness. The line is easily crossed by you and those around you.  So, your communication skills will be tested but your intellect and seeing the bigger picture will help you cross this thin iced land. Also, watch your ego that it doesn’t have an air of dominance and/or superiority that pokes the tiger in others.

Capricorn

Helena and Harriet ScottTen of Cups – This week’s energy is all about familial bliss.  This family does not have to be blood based but can be life acquired. This is about you enjoying to your fullest.  Remember that connection is not only to those people that make you happy but also to those activities/surroundings that do.  Enjoy the harmony of living.

Aquarius

Nine of Pentacles – The energy this week is about abundance.  Where can you receive and give?  How can you create luxury in your life, but do so with the essence of resourcefulness? By answering these questions, you can find more sustainable rewards then just through material gains.

Pisces

Three of Pentacles – Last week’s energy was around the crossroads in relationships.  It had you making choices that involve, self-love, commitment and/or separation.  Now that you have either ended, adjusted and/or reignited those relationships, the energy this week is turned towards collaboration.  With the relationships you are continuing, now is the time to find common goals to work towards.  Also, it is a great time to find new kindred spirits that you can learn and collaborate with. Either way the energy this week builds towards more harmonious prospects.

Tarotcast for the Week of March 25, 2018

Common Moth

I think I fell in love with moths when I saw the Godzilla movie Mothra versus Godzilla.  Where a giant moth saves Tokyo from Godzilla.  Moths are a group of insects related to butterflies.  But where butterflies are considered beautiful and helpful, moths are generally considered ugly, eat our clothes and are not worthy of our attention.  I would like to change your opinion.

Moth are close relatives to butterflies but evolved millions of years before them.  There are over 160,000 species of moths.  the out number butterflies 10 to 1.    Most moths are nocturnal,  some species are seen at only twilight and dusk and a few hang out in the day.  Therefore all night-blooming plants rely on moths to pollinate them.  Moth can smell each other up to 7 miles away with their antennae.  They come in the same variety of colors as any butterfly,

Despite a few species being notorious for eating natural fabrics and fur, many adults moths do not eat at all or eat nectar.  Actually, several species of moth’s cocoons are used to make one of the yummiest fabrics, silk.  A moth species represents the largest living flying insect, as big as a songbird, which is an amazing aeronautical feet.  Now, do you agree that  these cute fuzzy insects are pretty amazing?
