Tarotcast for the week of Dec. 4, 2016

cvwnj3zxyaan1nVincent Bal is a Belgian filmmaker and illustrator who works in the shadows of everyday objects. I love this concept, of looking at the everyday to create a tiny hidden world. My love for the small and hidden started in my childhood with a book series called The Borrowers. Mary Norton, a Sagittarian born on December 10, 1903, created a fantasy world where tiny people lived in the walls of an English home. They borrowed everyday objects to make their tiny hidden world cozy. In their home a wooden spool became a seat, a thimble a vase, and a postage stamp a painting.

Imagination meeting the everyday is one of the lessons taught to us by Sagittarius. Sagittarians use their amazing imagination in a practical yet at the same time fantastical way. Try it sometime this week, take an everyday object and see what your imagination can do with it.

P.S. If you need a stocking stuffer or “woo woo” holiday gift, I do gift certificates for my tarot readings. And, I have added links at the bottom for holiday gift ideas from a few artists and shops I love.

P.P.S Remember, when signs have * it’s a big week for you. I have attached some pictures of Vincent that may or may not go with your tarotcast.

bal-1Aries – Seven of Wands – The Seven of Wands warns you that it will be difficult to stay focused this week. The best way to work with this card is to have a plan or a to do list and stick with it, but don’t be too hard on yourself if you keep getting taken off tasks. Sometimes dealing with the Seven of Wands can be an exercise of letting go of control and going with the flow.

cueofgrw8aaw0z4Taurus – Four of Wands – That’s two four cards in a row. Let’s step back and review what fours mean. Fours want you to focus on ways to create more stability in your life. Last week, your focus was aimed at work, this week your focus should turn towards your home.   Either your work and home-life are not balanced or something in your home is literally not working. This could look like you are spending too much time at work or like drippy faucets, hinges that squeak, or drawers that don’t close all the way. Whatever the reason, it seems you should be spending some time at home.

cujwnhbvuaapjsyGemini – Page of Swords – Hopefully, you all got the message of the past three weeks to simplify and restructure so that you can move effortlessly through your life. The Page of Swords is challenging you to do some investigation and gathering of information on just how to do that. This is a great week to spend time investigating how to do a bullet journal to prioritize your life, reading self help articles, or gathering materials to jump start a job/creative project you want to manifest.

ctqzfrmwgaaazzcCancer – Ace of Swords – This week the Ace of Swords’ lesson is around clean, logical thought. The Ace of Swords challenges you to take time to hear yourself think without judgment. You can do this by mediating daily or a writing exercise from The Artist’s Way that has you write down everything you think of for at least 30 minutes each day. This way of observing your inner dialogue will help calm your mind, so you can think more clearly for the rest of the day.

crp8jzkwyaakavbLeo – Eight of Cups – This is a week to get rid of the old and to make way for the new. Clean out closets, garages, junk drawers, let go of books you will never read or read again, or even help your kids get rid of some of the toys they have out grown out. Ask yourself questions like- do I really need 5 sets of Christmas lights? Lighten your load.

cylcuf2wiaall90Virgo – Eight of Swords – Okay. You are thinking too much again. The Eight of Swords’ lesson is about getting out of your head. Your inner dialogue is on repeat, so it’s time again to take those “broken records” off your mind’s playlist. Changing the context of your environment actually shifts the mind and increase flexibility. I recommend actually making a brand new music playlist on your “fill in the blank” device. Make sure a your music choice doesn’t conjure up any memories of times and places in your past. This way you can drown out old thought patterns with something new and different.

crkln13xyaaynsu*Libra – The Hangman – The Hangman card asks you to stop and look within. This week, you might find that you feel blocked or that things are not progressing as fast as you think they should be. Guess what? Your feelings are right on. These blocks are meant to be in your path to slow you down, so you have time to consider your options, make sure you are following your path, or to give the Universe the time to get the stage ready for you. The big lesson with The Hangman is for you to gain patience and to learn when and how to let things take their natural organic course. You made the cake. Now let it bake.

cvl-s_zweaauswc*Scorpio – The Devil – The Devil’s lessons are around temptation and restraint this week. Be careful about over-spending, over-partying, and over-indulging in general. The Devil’s challenge will take the form of an inclination, likely through other people encouraging you that “you only live once” or to be self-destructive this week in some form or another. You have done a lot of work this year getting your life together. Don’t let the your devil or the devil in others, take you off course.

ctghdwkweaakliwSagittarius – Eight of Wands – Last Week, The Fool challenged you to recommit to and reconnect with your traveler/philosopher spirit. This theme continues this week with the Eight of Wands. You will be receiving important messages from outside sources this week on who, what, when and how to make next year run more smoothly. These can look as simple as picking up a Scrub Daddy sponge(they really are good for cleaning), finding a reliable babysitter, seeing the right present on sale for the holidays, or hearing about new job opportunity. Your only challenge this week is to keep your ears and eyes open to your messages even when you have to slug through all the junk mail.

bal-12Capricorn – Eight of Swords and Four of Wands – Okay, a two card week for you all. The Eight of Swords is challenging you to get out of your head. There are thoughts that are replaying that you have really thought enough about. The Four of Wands is here to help you get out of that loop-thinking pattern and instead to fill your house with wonderful sights and smells. This card combination challenges you to let go of what you can’t control and focus that energy on making your home a cozy, heartwarming, and soul-filling retreat.

crk-08rwiaavsr1Aquarius – Nine of Wands – This week is a great one for planning and preparation. The Nine of Wands’ advises you to check items off your to do list, prioritize, and do some short range planning. An example, do most of your seasonal shopping now. The challenge this week is in not letting things pile up so you have to do everything last minute.

cs3fmrfxeaa6jsyPisces – Queen of Wands – Last week was a bit hairy for you all, so hopefully you had time to do the intuition exercises. If not, you get another week to work on them, and with less outside stress. The Queen of Wands’ lessons are around the spirit and nature. This Queen challenges you to get in touch with your spirit by getting out in nature or by bringing a bit of nature to you. Spend time trimming your tree, making pies from scratch, going out and looking at the stars or sitting inside with a fire or by candlelight at night. As long as you do something that makes you go, “Ah.”

May light be on you, around you, and within you,

Nina
