Tarot and Artcast for March 1-7, 2026

Sybil Andrews

The artist this week is Sybil Andrews.  Andrews was not only an artist, printmaker, painter, teacher but also a welder in both World Wars and a boat builder later in life.  She is best known for her modernist linocuts.

Solar System highlights for the next two weeks

We have a lunar Eclipse in Virgo on March 3rd. For those of you that have a sun or moon in Virgo it would be good to lay low around that time if you can.  For those with nodes in Virgo or Pisces look for informational downloads around your future and letting go of what no longer works for you.

We are also still in our first retrograde of 2026 until March 20th with Mercury in Pisces and which will go direct in Pisces until April 14th.  This lesson/exploration is around communicating our fantasies and dreams, non-linear thinking and a heightening of our Spidey sense.   The challenge is staying grounded when collecting information and giving it out.  Miscommunication is at its height during this time, so double check the “facts”.

EXTRA

*If you want a more in-depth look into the planets and how they affect you, you can get those with my yearly Astro reading or if you sign up for my monthly New Moon readings.  Pisces this is a perfect time to get an Astrological Tarot Reading for your coming year.  And Virgo it is your halfway mark for your birth year, so if you need a Planetary Reading for a check in, now is the time.

**** I have a tip jar if you want to leave a gratuity for the tarot & art-casts.

May light be on you, around you, and within you.

Aries

The Champion- Six of Specters – The next two weeks are full of wins for you. The challenge is while getting there the path maybe convoluted, not aligned with your expectations or you may need to forfeit something for the win.  So, ask yourself, does winning the battle guarantee winning the war?

Taurus

Bread of Life -Ace of Orbs – In the next two weeks the muses would like you to initiate the ingredients for your “Bread of Life” into your daily schedule.  It is about seeding what will allow and grow abundance in the areas of material assets, your physical domain and your body. List the components, gather your ingredients and then start the process of kneading them into your recipe for living abundantly.

By doing so you will gain information that will help guide you towards evolution and innovation.

Chariot – This energy encompasses free will and the insight to carry on.  An exercise to comprehend its message is to imagine yourself stepping into your chariot of choice and them letting your soul drive you to interesting vistas that are full of information.  These sites and sounds will lead you to be more joyful and satisfied by your summer birthday.  Your motto:  Keep on truckin.

Leo
Sybil Andrews

Journeyman – Eight of Orbs – This next two weeks’ energy is best spent focusing on your work.  This is the energy of the grind.  However, to accomplish this you will need to utilize your supper powers and tweak them if necessary.  The muses also suggest writing down all that you do either before the day starts or after, so you can honestly justify why you are so tired.  This exercise will also give you the dopamine rush of checking off even the simplest of chores.

Virgo
Sybil Andrews

Shining Quarry – Knight of Orbs – Petition the muses in the coming two weeks to help stabilize your foundations and increase access to the resources you need for material success in whatever endeavor you set your sights on.  Your work is to listen for clues on which direction/choices you need to make to continue at a slow and steady pace towards success.  In this race the turtle does win over the rabbit.

Libra
Sybil Andrews

Sacred Cinnabar – Ace of Swords – In the coming two weeks look for new paths of knowledge and ways of thought.  The muses are asking you to expand your mind so you have the information you need to seed to enhance your spirit as well as your goals.  This can be as simple as reading from a new genre or as complex as taking a philosophy class or listening to your opposition for understanding.  By opening your mind, you find new solutions to answers that have stopped you in the past.

Scorpio
Sybil Andrews

Wheel of Life – The world is changing and so must you so you can stay in sync with what is evolving.  These weeks’ energies are best utilized by dancing with the flux and flow instead of pushing against it.  You can still hold on to your truth but how you go about it needs changing.

Sagittarius
Sybil Andrews

Holy Water – Ace of Chalices – The muses for the coming two weeks would like you to dive into what nurtures, feeds and saves your soul.  Whether that is emotional connection to nature, your pets, your human companions or your spiritual depth, you need to take time to connect deeper into those heart relationships.  By doing so you quench your thirst and restore your vitality.

Capricorn
Sybil Andrews

Eminence – Nine of Orbs – For the coming weeks the energy is around working on and with what uniquely defines you.  Looking back, what has made you successful?  What are your superpowers?  What do you enjoy doing?  Where do you want to excel next?  By being clear on these answers your foundation becomes stabler so you can empower your momentum forward.

Aquarius

Malaise – Nine of Scepters – The muses would like you to defend against the states of debilitation, despair and pessimism.  This is not a call to wear rose colored glass and declare all is well, but a call to action against melancholy in any joyous form you can.  That can be dancing or singing to your favorite tunes, sporting blow-up costumes or snowball fights in the park.

Pisces
Sybil Andrews

Dynasty – Ten of Orbs – For the coming weeks of your new birth year the muses are asking you to check off items on your to-do list.  Now is the time to finish up what projects you can do, so you can create space for what is coming in your new birth year.

Tarot and Artcast for Jan 18-30, 2026

Hiroshi Sugimoto
Baltic Sea, Hiroshi Sugimoto

Hi All,

The artist this week is Hiroshi Sugimoto.  Sugimoto is a photographer and architect.  In his art he experiments with the science of photography, light, shadow and darkness.  By using extremely long exposures he plays with the concept of time and timelessness and thus plays with our eye’s sense of reality.

On a side note: There is a fascinating video of a conversation with Sugimoto and his printer which shows the interdependence and collaboration of artists.

Solar System highlights for the next two weeks

The inner planets, Earth, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are all moving into Aquarius time to innovate areas in your personal life.  Upgrade.

Neptune moves into Aries until June of 2026 where we can now work on using our imagination to bring things into the material plane.

EXTRA

In case you missed it in the last cast: A few changes to the cast for now, as I figured out how I want to move forward with the cast and my other offerings.  I am only going to do the solar system highlights section when something big changes.  If you want a more in-depth look into the planets and how they affect you, you can get those with my yearly Astro reading or if you sign up for my monthly new moon readings. I am diving deeper into a big project around tarot and oracle cards.  So, I’ll be switching back and forth with Oracle and Tarot decks in the coming year. This is so I don’t get stagnant with your forecasts and I keep learning.   I still love showcasing artists, so for now that is still in and then of course each sign’s cast every other week.

*Signs with an * it is a big week for you.    Capricorn/Aquarius this is a perfect time to get an Astrological Tarot Reading for your coming year.  And Cancerian/Leo it is your halfway mark for your birth year, so if you need a Planetary Reading for a check in, now is the time.

**** I have a tip jar if you want to leave a gratuity for the tarot & art-casts.

May light be on you, around you, and within you.

Partake in the garden of life.  Take these two weeks to ground yourself in the earth, call in wealth and abundance.  However, it is also your duty to provide for nature and those you love around you.  Share the wealth.

Taurus
Hiroshi Sugimoto
Villa Mazzacorati, Hiroshi Sugimoto

Connect the spaces of your heart to the world around you, so you may seek alignment with your actions, words and thoughts.  This is not an easy road but a necessary one for you.  The goal is to connect and do without taking on other’s emotional states.  Otherwise, you will lose your connection to your inner joy and glow.  Which is so necessary in this world right now.

Gemini
Electrifying a photo plate, Hiroshi Sugimoto

You are full of ideas as well as responsibilities.  And you have helped and inspired others.  However, now is the time to ask for help and input.  This is not a time to carry the load by yourself.  Sharing is imperative so you have the energy and clear focus to accomplish what is ahead.

Cancerian
Hiroshi Sugimoto
Hiroshi Sugimoto, Bay of Sagami

The Muses want you to know that you are worthy of abundance and love.  This is not a time to doubt what you have accomplished or give up hope if aspects have not worked out. You have developed into your own nurturer and provider.   And it is time to step through the door confidently.

Leo
South Bay Drive in San Diego, Hiroshi Sugimoto

Memories hold a mirror up to our present.  Every time you access your memories you color and edit them just a bit.  In this way you have been altering the past since your first recollection.  So, the muses ask you why not choose to remember in a way that heals instead of harms.

Virgo
In Praise of Shadow, Hiroshi Sugimoto

Completions are called for during these two weeks.  You are preparing to be the Fool who jumps into the unknown.  However, the muses are asking you to take a moment and celebrate the end of this cycle.  So, you can clean the slate for the new to enter.

Libra
Hiroshi Sugimoto
Earliest Human Relatives Diorama at Natural History Museum, Hiroshi Sugimoto

The Muses would like you to call in love and connection.  The challenge with this request is you must be willing to say yes.  You have learned what you don’t need, so now call in what you do.  If you are in a relationship then use this energy to deepen the connection, ask for what you need and in turn listen to what their needs are.

Scorpio
Staircase Villa Farnese, Hiroshi Sugimoto

What structures in your life are failing you?  As the societal planets are changing signs in proximity, which haven’t occurred during human existence, they are calling on you all to lead us to new more inclusive constructs.  Some of you will be doing this on a larger platform while others will be modeling personal how to do it in our day to day.  This is the beginning of that transformation, and you all are being called into your phoenix form.  Light the way.

Sagittarius
Union City Drive-In, Hiroshi Sugimoto

You are a mosaic of parts.  You understand this and are comfortable with it.  And the muses would like you to use your alchemical ways to help others understand and balance theirs.  Whether this is through example or philosophical discourse, you are being called to guide, cheerlead, support others to create their own delightful medley of humanness.

Capricorn
Hiroshi Sugimoto
Sea of Buddha, Hiroshi Sugimoto

You are called to quiet your mind.  For the next two weeks, be mindful of your circadian clock and stay in the present as much as you can. If your mind starts to worry about the future use only the thoughts that you can do something about.  The rest write down and then let them go.

Aquarius
Ligurian Sea, Hiroshi Sugimoto

As you enter your birth month, allow the old, tired, irrelevant to decay.  Let decompose what no longer serves you to create the nutrients for the new year.  This can look like cleaning out your closet or house and reselling or donating it.  Or relocating everything in your inbox to “look at later” folder.  The key is creating space to grow new ideas, relationships, projects in open fertile ground.

Pisces
Hiroshi Sugimoto
CARIBBEAN SEA, Hiroshi Sugimoto

The Muses are asking you to hold steady and push through.  You are almost at the end of a cycle.  I mean your birthday is coming up; however, you have loose ends to tie up, projects to finish and goals to meet.  So, for these two weeks, set up some strong boundaries to get things done and off your list before the end of February comes and you begin a new year.

Tarot and Artcast for December 2025

Amit Eshel Artic Wolves

Hi All,

Due to my surgery and my annual soul retreat during Winter Solstice to the New Year, this is the last forecast until the first week in January.  This cast I am asking the muses to give you a word or saying to ponder on the lessons, challenges and warnings to wrap up 2025 and begin 2026.

Also, I just want to express how grateful I am for you all walking with me through my exploration of art and tarot.  I wish you all great joy and happiness as we finish off 2025 and begin our journey into 2026.  See you in January 2026.

The art the cast is from winners of the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photography competition.

Solar System highlights

Mercury is back in Sagittarius until the end of the year – chatty Cathy is in the house.  Mars also moves into Capricorn on December 15th – great to tie up loose ends and plan for new beginnings. Venus is in Sagittarius until December 24th – wanting us to be curious and then moves into Capricorn where we focus on making beauty more tangible in our lives.

Jupiter, the planet of abundance and growth, is in Cancer until June 2026.  This placement is exalted, because Cancer boosts Jupiter’s positive aspects and vice versa.  Jupiter creates more ease in our emotional growth, intuition, feeling nurtured as well as giving it.  However, the two-fold challenge is that growth needs time to cultivate and may bring growing pains.  So be kind and patient with others and yourself as we grow into our abundance.

Lastly, Saturn is back in Piscis until February of 2026.  So, we are back to our structures having trouble being…well… structured.  And I am sending out extra feel-good vibes for you all with a Saturn in Aries or Pisces and are dealing with this erratic Saturn return.

Tarot and Artcast for Nov 2 -15

Hi All,

So, the beginning of the tarotcast will be a bit different – some news and changes. First, I am going to have surgery mid-November and I am not sure how the tarotcast is going to fit in.  But I will try to get another 1 or 2 in before Winter Solstice.

Second, ten years ago, I started doing this tarotcast blog.  At first it was just each sign’s tarot forecast for the week.  I have always believed that science and art are two arms that help us figure out our place in the universe.   And if I found something interesting, I would write about that.   But then the cast quickly morphed into smatterings of science and a larger focus on art by fringe groups not equally represented in the Big A art scene.

The other aspect of doing this was my pondering: is casting tarot statistically significant? Statistically significant means a result is not likely to have occurred by random chance alone; it suggests a real underlying effect or difference, i.e. can woo be tracked.  So, I kept excel sheets collecting data points from the tarotcast’s cards that each sign got throughout the ten years.

Each year I looked at the data in two ways, how many times each card was pulled (for anomalies) and what the actual cards were for each sign (trends).  You can see the individual years in review for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023.

Over the course of ten years, I have pulled the cards over 6,000 times, putting the drawn card back into the mix after each pull for a zodiac sign. And after looking at the data, I feel like pulling the cards isn’t a random act.   Let me just say, what I did may not be fool-proof and some statisticians would say I would need way more data points or possible because my shuffling wasn’t random enough, etc.…, but that aside I still find the this process interesting.  And now to look at the data for the past 10 years.

The Data

There are 78 cards in a tarot deck.  The average amount of times I pulled a card in this 10 year period was 70, the median was 69 and the standard deviation was 10.  So, the 78 card possibilities fall within of the average + or – deviation.  However, there were 24 anomalies, that would be individual tarot cards pulled less than 60 or above 80 pulls.

The 3 highest cards pulled above the average are: Eight of Wands – 99 times, Ace of Swords – 97 times, Fool- 90 times.  The 3 lowest are:  Wheel – 48 times, 6 of cups- 51 times, nine of cups- 52 times. I find it interesting that the 2 higher arcane cards are The Fool- the journey, foolishness and wisdom and the Wheel – chance.  And the most pulled lower arcane cards are 8 of wands – information, and Ace of Swords- new ways to think.  The lowest being 6 of cups – past/children and 9 of cups – satisfaction/nonsatisfaction.

So, with that – take what works for you and leave the rest behind.

*The art is from some of my favorite artists/pieces throughout the 10 years.

My pondering

Now that I have completed my challenge I am rethinking how I want to go forward with this tarotcast as of 2026.  And I would love your input to help me figure out what is next.  I still love finding artists, pondering and pulling cards. But I am iffy about the solar system part.  I am not sure which social media site to continue with.  Or the frequency/maybe break it up or make it shorter and more frequent….  And most importantly I want to expand what I read with (non-standard tarot, oracle cards and playing around with new types of divination tools) to keep things fresh and help with my exploration of my 108 project.  So please write me back if you have input.  ……….Or not and enjoy the ride ; ).

Solar System highlights

Mercury is in Sagittarius – chatty Cathy is in the house.  Mars also moves into Sagittarius November 5th until December 15th – watch itchy feet syndrome. Venus is in Scorpio until November 30th – boom chicka boom boom.

Lastly, Saturn is back in Pisces until February of 2026.  So, we are back to our structures having trouble being…well… structured.  And I am sending out extra feel-good vibes for you all with a Saturn in Aries or Pisces and are dealing with this erratic Saturn return.

*Tower – Now is the time to look at your foundations and make sure they are supporting you.  This might be complicated that you may need to deconstruct before you begin fixing or it can be a simple application of metaphorical spackle.  The key is seeing what isn’t working, creating and then implementing a plan to make sure your structures/resources/relationships are supporting what you need.  If you go for the spackle route, just remember that this is a quick fix while you do the planning for the major reconstruction.

Nine of Trees – Use these coming weeks to finish up projects and get things tidied up for the coming season.  This is not the best time to start new projects.  The muses would like you to get as much off your plate, so you can enjoy some rest and relaxation before 2026 starts.  Keep on keeping on.

Sagittarius

Five of Water – The Muse of Silver Lining’s is your companion for the coming weeks.  She usually shows up when you are focusing too much on what isn’t working instead of seeing what is and working with that to take your next steps.  Mistakes are vital in the learning process, but now is the time to leave them behind and move on.

Capricorn
Toni Frissell

Spirit of Fire – The Spirit of Fire would like you to spend time creating, growing, sprouting and wilding.   She suggests less goals and more exploring your passions for just the heck of it.  She asks you to play with what powers your motivation.   Explore what excites you.

Eight of Fire – The Muse of Messages comes when you have possible overloads of information are coming at you.  She suggests a few ways to deal with the onslaught and still reap its benefits.  One possible way is to just focus on a couple of aspects you need answers to.  The other is acknowledging everything without distilling any of the information.  Let it wash over you and see what sticks.  Either way you will get some needed information for the coming months.

Pisces

*Tower – The Muse of Deconstruction comes when aspect of your life is not working, and you need to tear it back to the foundation of why you started this construction in the first place.  You can no longer metaphorically spackle the cracks. The key is seeing what isn’t working, creating and then implementing a plan to create new structures and resources to construct a better building.

Tarot and Artcast for Sept 28-Oct 11

Yury Ivanov

Every year I pick a photo contest to highlight.  This year it is the Ocean Photographer of the Year Awarded by OceanGraphic.  The winner is Yury Ivanov’s photo of two amphipods from the Cyproideidae family (above), each measuring around 3mm in body length, resting on a coral. Commonly called ‘ladybugs of the sea’, they are related to shrimp and crabs.  Ivanov speaks about the process of taking this photograph. “It required a lot of patience and precision to compose and light the shot properly. It was taken at a depth of 19 meters, during a sunny day with calm sea conditions. In total, it took me six dives to get the shot I wanted. The result reveals an intimate glimpse of underwater life that is often overlooked.”

Your pondering: Lately I have not been feeling present or possibly not wanting to be.  So, to be in the now I am immersing myself in the small stuff.  I stop to say hi to the bees, I spend extra minutes petting our animals, I hold my mother’s hand, I watch a leaf fall all the way to the ground.

And I am working to attract more bugs into my garden, well at least some of them (lol I am not fond of the blood sucking variety.)   Every fall I let my garden seed out and create little piles of nature’s detritus to give the insects a place to overwinter or a comfy place to lay their eggs.  And this fall our little acre is alive with chirps, clicks and buzzes.  These small co-habitants are vital to a healthy ecosystem. And as we approach winter these sounds and visitations will go dormant.   So knowing this helps me connect to being present- that the small things are a place to find joy or at the very least contentment.   What is your small stuff?

Eight of Earth – The Muse of Production is here to cheer you on. This muse reminds you that you have unique skills. And her arrival foreshadows that these exceptional skills will be needed soon. So, she asks you to claim and exercise these talents. While she chants “Practice, practice, practice”, to remind you to hone and innovate your gifts to the next level.

Taurus

*Hermit – The last two weeks the Muse of Momentum was your co-pilot and gave you the gas to get things started. Now the Muse of Insight asks you to step back and gain perspective on the project(s) you have been doing. She asks is your work on the right path.  How does it fit into your bigger perspective? Does it serve the people you want it to? Use this time to pull back and look at the bigger picture and make tweaks before you enter back into society.

Gemini
Rafael Armanda

*Moon – These next two weeks will be a deep dive into your emotional realm. The Muse of Reflection would like to work with your heart. She asks what emotions have you been bottling up? She recommends using this time to work through them before these emotions bubble over into reality and make a mess.  Your emotions have intel, but they are disguised in reaction instead of reflection.

Cancerian
Andrey Shpatak

*Fool – The coming weeks have the potential for inviting in the new. The Muse of Possibilities challenges you to be open to the unfamiliar.  Yes, you crabs do not always feel comfortable changing shells and being vulnerable.  But she reminds you to have more faith in yourself when you step into the unknown, for you will find stable ground and a bigger frontier even if you cannot see it.

Leo
Laszlo Foldi

*Magician – The Muse of Manifestation is your co-conspirator for these coming weeks.  The key with working with this muse is to first connect with the why behind what you would like to manifest.  Is it aligned with divine inspiration/your soul?  The second task is to allow for experimentation. She reminds you that mistakes often bring more insight and therefore bigger gains.  And lastly to realize you have all the tools you need to do this task. Utilize what you have around you.

Virgo
Luis Arpa Toribio

*Fool/Body of Fire– Okay some of you still either are not trusting the process of jumping into the unknown or you need more of this energy.  That means some of you still need to accept invites, strike up conversations with strangers, take new routes going home, or take a passion project off the back burner.  Use this energy to be let go of perfectionism and goal orientation.  And then the rest of you that have made that jump into the unknown you have the Muse of Perfect Timing as your companion.  This muse loves to put you in the right place at the right time for opportunities and lessons.  Even if it feels negative/challenging by the end of the year you will see them as the gifts that they are.

Libra
Yuka Takahashi

Six of Earth – The Muse of Kindness comes when you need to balance the back and forth of giving and receiving.  Yes, it is within your nature to be kind, but it is also important to give or receive what is actually needed.  This muse suggests trying this experiment.  When in a conversation, instead of just empathizing or being self-effacing, ask others to clarify what they need or be clearer on what you need, i.e.  to fix it, brainstorming, emotional support, or just an ear to vent to.

Scorpio
Sho Otan

*Magician – The Muse of Manifestation is your companion for the coming weeks.  This muse shows up when you either need to clarify what you want to manifest; you are having trouble focusing or you are not allowing for experimentation and variability in your work.  If it is clarification, do some brainstorming with a trusted friend.  If it is a focus issue, take a break and come back to it later.  And if it is that you are too controlling of the outcome or process work on trusting the flow and allowing yourself to learn from the mishaps.

Sagittarius
Richard Smith

Nine of Fire – Preparation is the key for the coming weeks.  The Muse of Endurance will help by enhancing your resilience when you need it.  And your responsibility will be to think of what you may possibly need to support you for the next two weeks.  Think of things like preparing food that can be reheated.  Make your lunch or pick out your clothes the night before. Doing things as they come up instead of “doing it later.”  By doing so you will increase your efficiency and your time for work and balance that out with rest.

Capricorn
Toni Bertran Regas

Four of Air – For the next couple of weeks it would be beneficial if you spent some time recouping and unplugging when you can.  Your brain needs a break from thinking, dealing and deciding.  So, whatever your key to calmness and relaxation is, make the time to do it.  Your brain will thank you.

Aquarius
Marcia Riederer

Mind of Air – The Muse of the Big Picture comes when you need to ponder, possible adjust, or clarify what your goal or big idea is.  This longer, broader view will help you in finessing the details and steps that need to do to manifest this aim.  So, start with the goal and work backwards.  This is also important when conveying an idea to others.  They need to see the big picture, so they can help or at least get out of your way.

Pisces
Ysabela Coll

Five of Earth – All fives have to do with chaos, and this one is on the material plane.  The Muse of Poverty Mindset is your companion to help combat this challenge.  Because things are a bit unsettled you are believing that you do not have enough – money, time and/or space.  However, this muse reminds you that is your perception but not actually the reality.  She suggests trying to recognize and then verbalize your abundance and the potential of plenty.  Then to fall prey to seeing this fleeting chaos as set in stone or not ultimately to your advantage.

Tarot and Artcast for Sept 14-27

Kirsty Elson
Kirsty Elson, Fox

The artist highlighted for this Artcast is Kirsty Elson @kirstyelson.  Elson is a found object sculptor and specifically with driftwood artist.  I picked her this week because I needed some whimsy and calm.  She originally started making seaside townscapes and has now moved to more whimsical animals.  As she says, “I’m thoroughly enjoying this new path, as I can be even more playful and inject some humor into my work which I think is a nice distraction in these troubled times.”  I also highly recommend watching a beautiful documentary short, Seawood about her, the ocean and her work.

Your pondering:  Her mother said, “she was a bit like a magpie, collecting things”. We all collect things around us.  What do your collections say about your emotional needs?  Calm? Whimsical? Colorful?

Solar System highlights

We start the week with the moon in Cancer – self-care is the focus.  On Wednesday it shifts into Leo – and we shift from inner to outer shine.  Saturday the moon is in Virgo and there is a new moon on Sunday – time to organize. Monday September 22nd the moon moves into Libra – relationships are the focus.  Then Wednesday September 24th it shifts to Scorpio – put time into what makes you zing.  Then we begin the weekend with the moon in Sagittarius – go exploring.

Mercury is in Virgo until September 19th having us make our communication more efficient and clearer.  Then it moves into Libra where this energy is best used to work on balancing equalizing listening and speaking.

Mars is Scorpio until November 4th. This aspect is a perfect time to work on our passion projects.  Venus is in Leo until September 19th, amplifying all parts of Love in your life.  Just watch that you don’t get too dramatic especially in your personal relationships.  Bath in Love without the cling. Then Venus moves into Virgo where working on making your environment welcoming becomes the focus.

Lastly, Saturn is back in Pisces until February of 2026.  So, we are back to our structures having trouble being…well… structured.  And I am sending out extra feel-good vibes for you all with a Saturn in Aries or Pisces and are dealing with this erratic Saturn return.

Aries
Kirsty Elson, Ram

*Star – Things have been a bit bumpy as you move out of the summer season.  Luckily you have the Muse of Healing and Hope to inspire you.  She suggests spending the next two weeks future-tripping around what you would like to heal in the coming months and with that healing what would change.  This muse advises doing this through writing or any creative endeavor by expressing what it would feel and/or look like in this new paradigm shift.  The more nuance the better.

Taurus
Kirsty Elson
Kirsty Elson, Bull

*Chariot – The Muse of Momentum is your co-pilot for the coming weeks.  This muse gives you the gas and grease you need for any project you have in the works.   However, she does require you to have a clear destination and route laid out.  Otherwise, you will be doing donuts in the proverbial parking lot.

Gemini

Ace of Earth – All aces promote new beginnings.  The Ace of Earth is energy to begin a project on the material plane.  This is a great time to fix up your house, begin a business, invest money, move, or buy something you really need.  The only caveats the muses warn you about are to be clear on the first steps and have all your materials in place.

Cancerian
Kirsty Elson
Kirsty Elson, Crab

Three of Air – The Muse of Healing is your companion for the coming weeks.  This muse works with thought patterns that hurt your heart.  These are usually old wounds from outside sources but that still need mending.  And in the coming weeks these traumas may reappear.  These are not reenactments but phantasms to clue you in on what still needs healing.   Remember your brain has the capacity to rewire itself, but it takes time.  So, use this energy to tend to these wounds daily until the road of joy is used more than the road of trauma.

Leo
Kirsty Elson
Kirsty Elson, house lion

*Chariot – The Muse of Momentum is lending her energy to you for the next couple of weeks.  This is a great time to get projects off the back burner or to begin a project.  She will grease the wheels of movement, but you must provide a clear direction to this kinetic time.  If you find this hard to do, she suggests that you corral a companion to keep you on task and a good playlist to keep the energy up.

Virgo
Kirsty Elson, Deer

*Fool – Okay so either you are not trusting the process of jumping into the unknown or you need more of this energy.  Because the Muse of Spontaneity is your companion again.  And possible a theme for your whole new birth year.  So here we go again, this Muse would like you to say yes to invites, strike up conversations with strangers, take new routes going home, or take a passion project off the back burner.  Use this energy to be let go of perfectionism and goal orientation.  This Muse would like you to open yourself to the unknown.   To have more faith in yourself when you step into the void, for you will find stable ground even if you can’t see it.

Libra
Kirsty Elson, Bluebird

*Moon – These next two weeks will be a deep dive into your emotional realm.  The Muse of Reflection would like to work with your shadowy side.  She reminds you that the shadow side is not something to fear or fix, but a place to dive into the why of the past and reflect on how your reactions helped you at that time. This process works with self-parenting “the you that was” when you did not have support or positive role models and then by caring for and forgiving “the you that was” with the amazing you that is now.

Scorpio
Kirsty Elson. Lantern Fish

Heart of Fire – Hopefully you spent some time the past two weeks working with the Muse of Inertia rediscovering what is important in your life, creativity and innovations.  Because the Muse of Spark would like you to play within your creativity. She suggests doodling or experimenting with your choice of inspiration without a goal, for this will reengage your spark and intuition.   The key is playing and surfing your creative currents, so you can realign with your inner path.

Sagittarius
Kirsty Elson, Horse

Three of Earth – The Muse of Collaboration comes when you are trying to do something on your own but you need outside help or perspective.  These coming weeks get out your contact list and call on others to keep you aligned to your task, aid you with advice or physical person-power.   It’s not that you can’t do it on your own, but collaboration will make the workload lighter and inspire you to broaden your imagination.

Capricorn
Kirsty Elson, Goat

*Magician – The Muse of Manifestation is your co-conspirator these coming weeks.  The key with working with this muse is to first connect with the why behind what you want to manifest.  Is it aligned with divine inspiration/your soul?  The second task is to allow for experimentation. Mistakes bring more success.  And lastly to realize you have all the tools you need to do this task, no need to hit the books to learn something new.  Utilize what you have around you.

Aquarius
Kirsty Elson, Penguin

*Hierophant – The Muse of Structures is perfectly aligned with the planetary energy of Mercury and then Venus in Virgo.  This month’s energy will best be utilized by optimizing and streamlining your structures, schedules, resources, and environment, for potential growth and building.   This muse advises to spend this time tweaking what needs enhancement for your serenity and ease as you moved into this fall season.

Pisces
Kirsty Elson, Narwhale

Eight of Air – The Muse of Letting Go is your co-collaborator for the coming two weeks.  She would like to work with you on letting go of old thought patterns that no longer serve you.  These paradigms where helpful and protective at an earlier stage of your life, but now they bind you from stepping into your future.  She advises writing down your negative self-talk and finding its origins and then comparing it to where you are now.  If you find it no longer rings true to your present circumstances, then it is time to let it go.  And if by chance it still rings true then update how you deal with it.  Because either way the old recordings are no longer working.

Tarot and Artcast for Aug 31-Sept 13

Graces, Jennifer Packer

The artist highlighted for this Artcast is Jennifer Packer.  On the surface one would say, Packer paints portraits and flowers, but how she portrays her images makes the viewer feel more by seeing less.  This is embodied in one of her idioms: “I think about images that resist, that attempt to retain their secrets or maintain their composure, that put you to work…”  What I love about Packer’s work is her ability to convey more with less.  That her portrait can be almost monochromatic, but we walk away with a connection with the person being portrayed.  Or perhaps it is the feeling of Packer’s perception about that person’s aura.  Either way it is the connection that becomes the centerpieces of her work.

Your pondering: Packer said about her exhibition “Every Shut Eye Ain’t Asleep” at MOCA LA “I hope to make works that suggest how dynamic and complex our lives and relationships are.”  On our path of learning how to human we must remember that most of our experiences with others are just glimpses into their life.  That fellow commuter may be asleep or maybe just trying to keep the world out so they can keep their feelings in.   Ultimately, we need to remember that all the people we meet have stories behind them, all unique but also all dealing with the same range of human emotions.  We should never take for granted or overlook that that person across from us – you don’t know them intimately – what they have dealt with – but you have felt what they have felt at some point. One of the great human paradoxes is that we are all unique and the same.

Solar System highlights

We start the week with the moon in Sagittarius – great for exploring but hard to get work moving.  On Tuesday the moon moves into Capricorn – now work week begin.  Thursday it is in Aquarius– great for innovation and outside of the box thinking.  And on Sunday September 7th we have a full moon in Pisces – this is a dreamy full moon good for creativity.  Then Tuesday September 9th the moon is in Aries – great for getting those dreams out of the ether and into the material plane.  On Thursday September 11th the moon is in Taurus – ground your emotions.  Then we begin the weekend with the moon in Gemini – communication becomes the focus.

Mercury is still in Leo until September 3rd, finishing off our 11-week course in expressing ourselves with the caveat that we don’t shade others’ shine while we spread our own light.  Then it moves into Virgo having us work on making our communication efficient and clear.

Aries
The Body Has Memory, Jennifer Packer

Body of Earth – You continue working with your structures.  The Muse of Slow and Steady rides with you for the next two weeks.  This muse counsels you with idioms like “Rome wasn’t built in a day” or “Nature doesn’t hurry, yet everything is accomplished.”  Now that Saturn is back in Pisces you can look at the answers to the last tarotcast’s questions of: are your structures laying a solid foundation to your desires and intentions?  Are you well-resourced emotional, physically, mentally and spiritually? And begin slowly processing the solutions.  This is not a time to fall into the rush of things.  Begin the slow process of stocking up resources, fixing the cracks and/or doing a slow deconstruction of what isn’t working.

Taurus
Jennifer Packer
A Little Life, Jennifer Packer

Four of Swords – You continue with the energy of stillness.  Where the last two weeks were about listening to your internal ponderings and looking at alternative and innovations.  This next period the Muse of Rest is your companion.  Where the Muse of Stillness wanted you to process this muse wants you to turn off your mind.  She advises to disconnect from technology and information gathering in general.   To let your body, mind and spirit take time to rest and restore.

Gemini
Untitled, Jennifer Packer

Heart of Water – The Muse of a Play is your companion for the coming weeks.  This muse shows up when you are taking life too seriously.  This energy is about being open to the wonder of a snail crossing the sidewalk, crickets’ songs at night, playing in puddles, doodling, finding animals in the clouds, playing with children and using your imagination.  The key with this challenge is not to make everything you do have a goal.

Cancerian
Vison Impaired, Jennifer Packer

*Fool – The Muse of Possibilities is hanging out with you as you step into September.  This is big energy that promotes new beginnings and being open to new opportunities.  This can be as simple as reading a book outside your favorite genre or eating at a new restaurant.  Or it can be as complex as exploring a new passion, relationship or profession.  The key to aligning with this energy is to be open to the new.  You don’t have to commit and especially do not bind yourself.  This energy is about freeing your spirit and being more curious about the world around you.

Leo

Interior, Jennifer Packer

Eight of Earth – Now that your birth month is over it is time to get to work on your new year.  The Muse of Mastery is hanging with you for the next two weeks.  This Muse advises putting productivity into your daily/weekly practice.  The key to working with this energy is seeing how accomplishing the small steps gets you farther then grasping for long term future goals.  And seeing mistakes as learning tools to drive your outputs with more efficiency and ease.  This muse advises putting gold stars on your calendar for any kind or size of headway you make.

Virgo
Yellow Roses, Jennifer Packer

*Fool – The Muse of Spontaneity is your companion for the coming weeks.  This Muse would like you to say yes to invites, strike up conversations with strangers, take new routes going home, or take a passion project off the back burner.  Use this energy to be let go of perfectionism and goal orientation.  This Muse would like you to open yourself to the unknown.   And to have more faith in yourself when you step into the void, for you will find stable ground even if you can’t see it.

Libra
Hold, Jennifer Packer

Eight of Fire – These next two weeks will be filled with information and messages.  So much so that you may feel overloaded.  The Muse of Messages advise navigating this onslaught by prioritizing the important subjects you need to focus on for just these next two weeks.  The lovely thing about this energy is that even if you miss or can’t process the messages they will come around again.

Scorpio
Blessed Are Those Who Mourn, Jennifer Packer

*Hanged One – That past two weeks may have felt or been very tumultuous, luckily you have the Muse of Inertia as a companion for the next couple of weeks.  This energy is about slowing down possible even to a standstill.  This muse comes when you need to step out of the fray and take personal time to ponder your life.  She challenges you not only to look at it logically but also to turn it on its head with what ifs, both positive and negative.  Ultimately this contemplation is about rediscovering what is important in your life, creativity and innovations.  This muse even suggests putting your head at the bottom of the bed and seeing what dreams are conjured up with this new position.

Sagittarius
Say Her Name, Jennifer Packer

Two of Fire – The Muse of In-between hangs with you for the coming weeks.  She is the master of the present.   By living in the moment with this muse you can gain more clarity on where it is you may like to wander to next.  What will your next project, travel, relationship be?  What do you want to experience next?  Only by being ground in the present can you more confidently move into the future.

Capricorn
Restless, Jennifer Packer

Four of Air – The Muse of Restoration is your companion for the next two weeks.  You “go-go goats” often don’t get along with this muse, but she logically reminds you, you must be well resourced before you get onto the next project or phase.  She recommends unplugging your phone and spending some time resting and restoring your mental, spiritual and physical coffers.   Though body rest is important, she acknowledges movement can be restful for some of you.  The key is decreasing your goal orientation for this small period so you can hear yourself think.

Aquarius
An exercise in tenderness, Jennifer Packer

Six of Earth – The Muse of Mini-karma comes when you need to watch your p’s & q’s.  You can easily step on toes while your head is in the clouds.  This muse reminds you to stay present and pay attention to the vibe in the room.  By being more present and vigilant you can dole out your natural kindness with more accuracy.

Pisces
Untitled, Jennifer Packer

*Lovers – The Muse of Relations is your companion for the coming two weeks.  This muse usually shows up when it is important for you to put energy in the relationships you want to keep and release the ones you don’t.  Love is the ultimate vibe with this muse, but if you are finding difficult to be around a friend, co-worker or companion now is the time to do a deep dive into the why behind it.  It could be them, or it could be you.
