Tarotcast for week of June 19, 2016

sun

Happy Summer Solstice for those of you in the Northern Hemisphere. Happy Winter Solstice for those of you in the Southern Hemisphere. Monday, June 20, is the actual date when the longest day in the Northern hemisphere and the shortest day in the Southern. My favorite things about summer are summer showers, warm nights, pools really any body of water, and driving in a car with the windows down listening to songs on the radio. So for fun I attached some summer songs from the sixties that may or may not correlate with your readings. Next month I’ll be doing summer songs from the seventies.

Info on “cool” picture of the sun: A full-disk multi-wavelength extreme ultraviolet image of the sun taken by SDO on March 30, 2010. These “false” colors trace different gas temperatures. Reds are relatively cool (about 60,000 Kelvin, or 107,540 F); blues and greens are hotter (greater than 1 million Kelvin, or 1,799,540 F). Credits: NASA/Goddard/SDO AIA Team

P.S. Remember, when signs have * it’s a big week for you.

Aries – Page of Pentacles – Did you spend time last week being in your life without judgment? This week with your now non-judgmental mind you all to put your thinking caps back on – there is some learning to do. The Page’s challenge is: Can you learn something new without put your old judgments on it?  The Twist

Taurus – Five of Cups – This week there is a bit of sadness and melancholy hanging over you. These emotions are based on expectations that no longer work for you or at least some of them do not. The Five of Cups challenges you to look at your emotions. Some of them are part of life and those go with you. Some are not useful anymore, so it is time to let them go.  Where Did Our Love Go?

*Gemini – The Chariot – Finally, some movement for your birthday month. Now that you have a better understanding of where/what you want to go/do. This week things can start to move again. The Chariot’s challenge for you is: Do you have the self-discipline to stay focused on your goal(s)? Hint: Let go of the short term gratifications and keep your eyes set on the horizon. This can be as simple as not eating that pastry or as complex as starting that plan to move to another city/job or start that new project. Just remember you have the reins so you can pick the pace. Locomotion

Cancer – Ten of Wands – This week your to do list will get bigger but maybe not for a good reason. The Ten of Wands’ challenge is to pare down the list to what is absolutely necessary. This is a lesson of seeing if where you are putting your energy and is it really paying off? This can go two ways either you took too much on and it doesn’t fit in your life goals, or it is time to delegate. This card is hard for Cancers because you all tendency to say: “I can do it faster” or “It’s just easier if I do it” because you don’t want to make waves. However, I think, if you do spread the work load, you will find instead of waves the waters will be calmer. Sitting on the Dock of the Bay

*Leo – Judgment – It seems last week whether you wanted to or not you stopped pushing and had some acceptance in your life. Believe it or not you all did some big soul work and it has shown up as the Judgment card this week. You all have realized that you can’t – nor should you – control everything. And even though you soul has gotten this concept, your mind is still arguing “Wait, I know I can fix the problem .” So this week Judgment or really non-judgment challenges your mind to catch up to the change in your soul’s perception of control.  The Stripper

Virgo – Four of Pentacles – Last week, did you will find that your emotions are not some wild beast but just a cute pound puppy that has needs? If not this week is not as deep as last week but still runs the same challenge of readjustment. The Four of Pentacles is here to challenge you to put or readjust something in your life which will create more structure and stability. This should be something as simple and doable like taking a 20 minute walk each day or putting five dollars in a jar each week, so by next year at this time you can have $260 dollars to do anything you want with.  Hot Time in the Summertime

Libra – Seven of Pentacles – Last week, did you balance out your goals and do some readjustment? If not, the Seven of Pentacles continues the trend this week. So you all can keep tweaking a project/job/idea. Hint: If it is not totally aligned with your objective, now is the time to readjust or change direction. You will be happier with the results if you take your time this week and reassess. Sugar Sugar

Scorpio – Seven of Pentacles – Well I hope last week you got to party a bit because now you are back with your nose to grindstone this week. Unlike Libra (who got this card too this week) you don’t need to tweak your ideas/projects but more balance your work and play. The challenge is to set up some sturdy boundaries about when to work and when to play. Hint: Stick to your schedule – work when you are suppose to work and then when you get home hang your work email up with your hat. Wild Thing

Sagittarius – Ten of Swords – Having you been listening to your Soul’s Bluetooth? Cause you are going to need to tune in this week. The Ten of Swords continues with some crap coming your way. You need to listen to your inner voice to give you a heads up when to duck and cover or run away. The only challenge from the Ten of Swords is if you get some splatters on you then fess up you might have deserved it. (This can be as simple as your kids are fighting over the juice carton and you try to step in and gets it all over you, or a bit messier you step into someone else’s fight and then get some of the backlash. I Can’t Get No Satisfaction

Capricorn – Knight of Pentacles – This week the Knight of Pentacles challenges you to get a project going and follow through to a good stopping point. The Knight’s challenge is all about creating momentum and maintaining it. Beware of the pace that you pick you’ll need to stick with.   Sunshine of Your Love

Aquarius – King of Wands – Last week you all got The Star. Did you allow your “flawed” self to really shine. The King of Wands continues this theme of believing in yourself and what your inner voice is saying. Your challenge this week is can you spread this self-optimism to others? Light My Fire

Pisces – Three of Swords – This week you have three lessons/thought patterns that you need to change or just let go of. There are only three but they are important. From the trend of the last month’s cards they center around what is stopping you from losing control of the pace of your life? Tossin and Turnin

May light be on you, light around you, and light within you,

Nina
