Tarotcast for Week of June 18, 2017

Each Wednesday, I post on Instagram Art images that resonate with a tarot card or it’s meanings.   I like to ponder the card, the meaning and the art  image on hump-day for insights into our collective consciousness.   For this week for fun and possible insight, I picked images that resonate with your cards or their meanings for this tarotcast. Enjoy.

P.S. Remember, signs with * it’s a big week for you.

Aries – Queen of Cups – The Queen of Cups brings fun and frivolity into your life this week. She challenges you to put away your serious face and begs you to let your quirky, funny side out. Or as they say: this week, let your freak flag fly. The lesson she is trying to convey to you is not to take yourself so seriously. Your friends fell in love with the quirky side of you, not the perfectionist side you try to maintain in public.

*Taurus – Hangman – The Hangman’s lessons is about stopping your regular life to take a detour and/or gain a totally different perspective. This week your regular life is on hold. This might be as simple as getting caught in traffic and will need to find an alternate path home. Or it can be as complex as deciding to do something totally different this week than following your normal schedule. The big lesson with this card is that this 90 degree turn should give you a new perspective and enlighten you, so when you get back to your normal routine you will have rebooted.

Gemini – Ten of Swords and Ten of Wands – This week is going to be a roller coaster ride. To steal a line from a great book The Tale of Two CitiesIt was the best of times. It was the worst of times. The best way to get through this week is to lift your hands off the bar and enjoy the ride.

Cancer – Four of Wands – The Four of Wands means happy home. This will be a an easy week for you, Cancer, since it is a week for you to focus on your home life. Before your birth month begins take this week to make your home comfy. More pillows, new color for the walls, new fluffy towels. Ask yourself, what can I add to my home to make it feel more homey?

Leo – Three of Pentacles – The Three of Pentacles is about grounding, imagination and details. The challenge with this card is to stay grounded and focused this week, while you use your imagination to work out the details. The paradox with this card is that you will need to think outside the box in order to create the box.

Virgo – Seven of Swords – The Sevens of Swords’ lesson is around accountability. This card asks you, what am I actually responsible for? This week your goal is to focus solely on completing the tasks that you are responsible for. The challenge is to realize you are only truly responsible for yourself and what you do in the world.

Libra – Seven of Wands – Last week the Emperor challenged you to be a good leader. This week the Seven of Wands focuses that Emperor energy onto your integrity. Integrity is defined two ways: either the state of being whole or the quality of being honest. Your challenge is to honestly examine when you lead do you feel whole. And if not, what is missing? Self-esteem? Courage? Passion?

Scorpio – Seven of Cups – The Seven of Cups’ lessons are about our dreams and illusions. This card challenges you to imagine ways to make your world a better place. A great exercise is to create a vision board with pictures of things you would like to have in your life. The only challenge with this exercise is to that you understand the reason behind the pictures you pick. Is that new car there because you need a car to take you work or is there because it feeds your ego?

*Sagittarius – Hierophant – When the Hierophant shows up he is challenging you to re-establish structure into your life and reinforce morality into your world. Weirdly Saturn, the Hierophant in planet form, is in Sagittarius right now. So this is a big week for Sagittarians personally, but also how you walk in the world. The challenge with this card is realizing when too much structure can hinder the progression of a project. I will leave you with two quotes to ponder the Hierophant’s paradox. Culture does not make people. People make culture. If it is true that the full humanity of women is not our culture, then we can and must make it our culture. ― Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, We Should All Be Feminist. And, If it is true that we need a degree of certainty to get by, it is also true that too much of the stuff can be lethal.― Terry Eagleton, The Meaning of Life

*Capricorn – Temperance – Temperance is the card of balance and harmony, but it is also about extremes. This card’s challenge is to learn how to dial down our responses to life’s challenges. The paradox of Temperance is that we cannot dial something back to a six unless we experience the seven or ten. This week this card can play out as simply as feeling your road rage but not acting on it, or as complexly as lowering your level of commitment to a project so it is doable without hurting your health or home-life.

*Aquarius – Empress – Last week the Lovers card had you looking at your relationships and diving deeper into your heart. This week the Empress continues that theme of Love, but with the added flares of comfort, home and creativity. The Empress wants us to grow in the most loving way possible. Her challenge for you this week is to create space for you and your loved ones that is soft and welcoming. She asks, what do you need to plant and water in your life? This can be as simple as getting out in your yard/garden/porch and planting something that will bring you happiness, or as complex as tending to your relationships so they can bloom.

Pisces – Ace of Wands – Ace of Wands means new beginnings. This is a great week to experience something new that makes you go Ah or brings awe. When this Ace shows up, your soul is wanting to expand. So keep your arms and mind open to something magical. Look for synchronicities to lead you to, and through, the unknown. The world is wanting you to explore it. Take the road less traveled this week, and see what you can find.

May light be on you, around you, and within you,

Nina
