Tarotcast week of December 6, 2015

tarotcast
The new moon is on Friday, December 11 and is in Sagittarius. New moons are a great time to set intentions. And Sagittarian moons are a great time to focus on life goals and meanings, which I always find myself doing in December anyways. One great exercise is to create a list of your intentions every new moon. A couple of rules : First be specific of what you ask for. The adage “Be careful what you ask for- you might get it” rings true with this exercise. Second at the next new moon transfer the things you got to another list- don’t just cross them off, as the moon changes so do our intentions. So rewriting and adding to your list resets your intentions.
Remember signs that have * , it’s a big week for you.

*Aries- The Star- I hope last week you got a lot done with the Queen of Pentacles. This week the Star shines on you. This is a week when things run just a bit more smoothly. You find the parking spaces you need, you find things that you need more readily excisable, you find things that have been lost, you hear from people you have wanted to hear from, ideas form more easily, problems get solved faster etc…. Also, this is a card of enlightenment. So the environment has good advice out there for you. Look for the big ideas in the things that make you smile or think. The big challenge resonates again for you guys this week: can you let The Star lead you to where, when and who you should be instead of you trying to make things happen?

*Taurus- The Hanged Man- You got the Hangman this week. So be ready for things not getting totally done this week. There will be stalls and stagnation that are not under your control. But here is the beauty of the Hangman- if you do a 180 on how you view these challenges you will see they are actually gifts. For example, if you are stuck in traffic- you might have avoided being in an accident, or you notice that it is the first time you are actually alone in the car and you needed the space to think or you decide to take a longer route and find a perfect shop to stop in to wait it out and get half of your xmas shopping done etc….. The challenge for the Hangman is you are not looking at where you are at in the right way. The best way out of this situation is to sit back, reflect and see the new opportunities.

Gemini-Page of Cups- Ah, the Page of Cups. This cards lesson is to have some fun like kids do. Do you know that little children laugh around 300-500 times a day and adults only about 15? Set time aside this week to do things that make you joyful. When you get the Page of Cups it is an opportunity to refresh your perspective and refill your cup. The challenge: Can you let go of your some of your jaded thoughts and behaviors? Dance like nobody is watching, have a pillow/tickle fight, finger paint or jump on your bed.

*Cancer- High Priestess- Another week to get in touch with your spirit. I really recommend doing the exercise in the intro. The High Priestess is a card of insight, problem solving and manifestation. This week try to find some time for piddling – meditation- mind wandering. Your mind has some valuable thinking to do. The challenge is can you stop you from consciously thinking. If you need help, I recommend listening to the song “Fixing a Hole” by the Beatles. It might help your mind begin it’s wandering.

*Leo- Knight of Swords- Whew, finally a lower arcane card -BUT- it is the knight of swords which means you are moving too fast. Especially with you all getting the Chariot last week, the Knight is telling you to pull back on the reins a bit. I think with all that has been happening the last 5 weeks you are getting a a bit of a hand slap to still keep moving but not at the pace you set yourself. So you have another week again to tweak your boundaries and where you want to go in the new year and balance the new resilient and stronger you. The challenge: Remember the journey is the important bit not just the goals.

Virgo- Nine of Pentacles- I hope you found your jewels in your life last week. The nine of pentacles gives you some more time to contemplate on them. This card depicts a person in their garden enjoying all that they have worked so hard to get. This week take some time out and see all the things that you have brought into your life. This card really recommends some alone time to just piddle/mind wander. Not only will you get some much needed brain rest but some great ideas/planning might come out of it.

Libra- Two of Pentacles- This week the Two of Pentacles are telling you to hone your balancing act. For Libras this is a lifelong goal. So your challenge this week is to check are the things that you are balancing your own? And if they are not is the cost worth the effort?

Scorpio- Eight of Pentacles – This week spend some time looking at what you have mastered this year and revel in it. You have done a lot of work this year! The challenge is what do you want to master in the coming year. I recommend doing the exercise in the intro paragraph for at least 3 new moons.

*Sagittarius- The Chariot – This is your card Sagis. I am glad to see it show up in birthday month. This card is a reminder you are in control of your life path and it’s pace. The big challenge for you, all my half horsey friends, is finding the balance between your love of freedom (the horse side of you) and your knowledge that hind sight, structure and planning eases the journey (the philosopher side of you). Remember you are the embodiment of both. You don’t have to give up one for the other.

Capricorn- Nine of Pentacles – Well you got through the Devil and his misdirection last week. This week is about taking what you learned about self discipline and misdirection and fitting it into your habitats that you want to carry forward in the new year. I also recommend doing the exercise in the intro because for you all it will help you to see how this knowledge of misdirection and discipline work with your intentions.

*Aquarius- Judgment -OK, the worries are finally freeing up from your thoughts and your environment. And with the Judgment card, you are now looking forward in a more productive way, or at least this is what the card is asking you to do this week. Spend time this week to look at what you want to release from your life so you can be reborn in the new year. This is a card of the Phoenix – letting go and rebirth. The challenge for you: Can you imagine a brighter future for yourself without letting the worries erode the dream?

Pisces- Eight of Pentacle- So hopefully last week you came up with some smarter ways to work. Because this week it is about implementing what you have learned in the past three weeks. This is a week to get a lot of things done. The challenge is that even though you have planned out things which will ease the process allow for some wiggle room for creativity.
