Tarotcast week of January 31, 2016

four-of-swords

Winter is still here and it seems everyone in town is sick, including me.  It has always been a challenge for me to stay in bed and rest without guilt.  It didn’t help when I saw a cold medicine commercial in which a sick guy goes to work strapped to his bed.  I started to feel twinges of guilt for staying in bed.  Then I thought, what is the media feeding us?  Seriously – if you are so sick you feel like you should be in bed… be in bed.  You body is trying to tell you that you are contagious and not to be around other people. This all reminded me of the tarot card, Four of Swords. The Four of Swords card’s lesson is rest, reflection and restoration during times of stress, sickness and sorrow.  We all get sick at some point no matter how well we take care of ourselves, or how many times we wash our hands. Our challenge is to remember that rest is an essential part of life, and sometimes the best cure is to stay in bed.  P.S. Remember signs that have * it’s a big week for you.

Aries – Ace of Swords – This is a great week for new ideas. So spend the week reading, going on line, listen to books on tape, investigate things with your mind. There are new ideas on your horizon- go and find them.

*Taurus – Strength – This is a week to tame and direct the energy in your life.  You have all that you need to do the things that you want to.  You just need to spend some time this week finding ways to focus your energy where you want it to go.  So think of yourself as a lion tamer, and the things you need to get done as your lions.  The challenge is:  Can you find a way to cajole “your lions” without the whip?

Gemini – Five of Rods – The Five of Rods are telling you to beware of competitive or feelings of being pushed around. The challenge for you this week: when you feel the urge to push back make sure it is friendly and with some humor or just walk away.   Otherwise this tussle has possibilities of turning into a brawl or creating some lasting harsh feelings.

Cancer – Nine of Swords – The Nine of Swords reminds you not to dwell too much in the past or in your mistakes. As Shel Silverstein poems reminds you:   “All the Woulda-Could-Shouldas; Layin’ in the Sun; Talkin’ bout the things; They woulda-coulda-shoulda done…; But those Woulda-Coulda-Shouldas; All ran away and hid; From one little did.

Leo – King of Swords – Last week’s stagnation from the Hangman is gone. This week it is time to make decisions, finalize contracts, make new contacts and create new ideas. You have the brain power this week to figure out some intricate puzzle that has been flummoxing you for some time. So, have fun using your brain.

Virgo – Six of Swords – I hope last week you spent some time pulling out those negative thought patterns out of your mind, so you could stop doubting your intuitiveness. Because this week with the Six of Swords you are going to need your intuition to help steer your boat into the future. You will need to be in tuned to your spidey sense this week especially around the concept of movement. Whether that is moving to a new place, new job or new idea your challenge see the big picture before make the change happen.

Libra – Ace of Rods – This week is a great time to get creative. You will find much needed energy and inspiration if you spend sometime this week getting your creative groove on.

Scorpio – Page of Swords – Welcome to a slower-paced week.  The Page of Swords is here to remind you to make sure you have all the facts and that you have double checked them before you make any big decisions this week.  Your challenge, which I strongly recommend taking on, is to delay making quick decisions because more information will be revealed during the week.

*Sagittarius – Strength – Last week’s challenge was to get enough sleep and eat well so you could keep the pace up. This week you will need to dig in because the pace continues. The Strength card is here to remind you that you have the strength to endure this week. Your challenge when taming your lions with your “all or all” attitude is to remember you don’t have to use the whip. I recommend a nice juice steak or a hug.

Capricorn – Queen of Rods- I hope you found some alone time last week to get your work done without guilt. This week the Queen of Rods is here as your creative muse.   What makes the Queen of Rods interesting is that the qualities of the people you find inspiring are just a reflections of your own creative self. The challenge for you this week is to recognize and the fertilize these qualities within yourself.

Aquarius – Ace of Rods- Last week the message was to keep doing what you know.  This week the Ace of Rods is telling you that it is a great week to start on those new projects you wanted to do in 2016.  New opportunities might pop up this week.  Your challenge is to follow only those opportunities that you know that will inspire you. This is a time to let your intuition be your guide instead of your mind or wallet.

Pisces – The Four of Rods- Your spirit is ready for a much needed relaxation. The Four of Rods is a card that reminds you that quality time at home is the cure. So create sometime this week to BE at home. You will be very happy with the results.
