Hi All,

The artist this week is Henriëtte Ronner-Knip.  She is a painter of landscapes and animals, but she had a fondness and a unique understanding of cats.  Ronner-Knip working from live observation she would first sketch them then creating papier-mâché model of her subjects to glean their physiques and personalities. Then she used these sculptures as models in various settings. Though her subjects may seem common her techniques is far from it.  Her work is usually done with oil paints on wood  and is quite small  (the above painting is approximately 13x18inches) which makes her brushstrokes and use of shadow and light even more exquisite.

Ponderings:  I have had a cat most of life.  And I am  unbelievable grateful for their company.  What has been in your life as a constant?

Solar System highlights for the next two weeks

We have a New Moon in Pisces on March 18^th – play in dreamland and make wishes.

Retrograde Mercury is still with us until March 20^th. Recharge, reflect and redo.  Mercury is in Pisces until April 14^th.  This lesson/exploration is around communicating our fantasies and dreams, non-linear thinking and a heightening of our Spidey sense.   The challenge is staying grounded when collecting information and giving it out.  Miscommunication is at its height during this time, so double check the “facts”.

Clean it up – Use these next two weeks to clean up and organize.  This can be spring cleaning, airing out your house, clearing out your inbox, tackling your emotional baggage, writing to do lists… The muse would like you to make space so that when abundance and newness show up you have room for them.

Unfinished Symphony – Spending the coming weeks tying up lose ends and/or bring a project off the back burner.  There is no need to rush or feel a sense of “do or die” but there is energy to utilize in these coming weeks to clean, tidy and move projects along.  For even, stumbling forward gives you information to continue the momentum and best case a resolution or two.
