Happy Pride month! As we head into summer I highlight the highly colorful paintings of Alonsa Guevara @alonsaguevara. She is a painter, sculptor and installation artist. With her art, she conveys how we humans try to disassociate from nature.  How we often contrast instead of connecting with the natural world.   As we view her work we are reminded of the spirituality of awareness and presence.   As she says: “I am trying to express some kind connection between the natural world and human behavior.  How we are so, in our minds, structured.  We try to make things happen and control things and at the same time nature is something organic, sometimes random, uncontrollable.”  Nature reminds us to grow and go with the flow.

Perhaps also we need to eat a bit of humble pie by not separating, categorizing, judging, this versus that, us versus them, but see ourselves as part of the whole, larger learning organism.  In her words: “When I am surrounded by Nature doing a hike or staring at tiny details, at little fruit that has tiny seeds, and then you realize that life comes from such a small thing.  And there is also the ocean that is huge, and then we are right there in the middle so insignificant…”

Your pondering: Guevara, summer and the celebration of Pride month are all bursting with color, beauty and variety. These weeks as spring ends and summer begins and with Jupiter moving into Cancer, a place it is exalted, an energy that is abundant, giving, and ripe with life, I hope that you can see, celebrate and radiate the beauty and diverse abundance we are and are surrounded by.

Solar System highlights

We start the week with the moon in Scorpio – explore your passions.  On Tuesday it is a full moon in Sagittarius – expand your horizons.  Thursday the moon is in Capricorn – good energy for finishing up the work week.  Saturday it moves into Aquarius – find some time away from the crowds.  Tuesday June 14^th the moon moves into Pisces – great for daydreaming not so great if you are trying to get things done.  On Thursday June 19^th it is in Aries – projects and ideas start to move.  And on Saturday June 21^st the moon moves into Taurus – spend time in nature.

Mercury is now in Cancer – great for expressing our emotions but watch family squabbles.  Venus is back in Taurus until July 4^th. Take advantage of this gorgeous energy.  Find time to experience the beauty that surrounds us by using your senses.   Mars is in Leo until June 17^th, so there is an energy surge for action, change and new beginnings. The it moves into Virgo which settles down the energy into a rhythm that helps us sustain our oomph.

 

Jupiter, the planet of abundance and growth, has now moved into Cancer for a year.  This placement is exalted, because Cancer boost Jupiter’s positive aspects.  While Jupiter creates more ease in our emotional growth, intuition, feeling nurtured as well as giving it.  However, the two-fold challenge during this time is that growth needs time to cultivate and sometimes this growth brings growing pains.  So be patient and kind with others and yourself as we grow into our abundance.   Saturn is in Aries for its first round of pumping up energy levels. This aspect is about calibrating how you burn your “candle”, so that you don’t burn out.

Four of Air and Four of Fire –This birthday-month continues themes of healing, resting and filling your cup of inspiration. The Muse of Happy Home first arrives advising that your physical abode needs to be made cozier to facilitate comfort and rest.  And then the Muse of Rest comes by advising to utilize this time to unplug from the larger aspect of society and rest.  Your mind and body need some repose and tranquility so your spirit and mind can rejuvenate and stabilize for this coming year.

Heart of Air – The Muse of Investigation comes when you need to find out more information. Whether that is pondering what you will be prioritizing in your coming birth year, diving deeper into understanding the people around you, or just sitting back and being more observant of your surroundings.  This is a time to dig a bit deeper without any preconceived notions.  Curiosity is the key.

She advises before starting these next two weeks to reestablish your goals and make sure you are sufficiently resourced to cross the finish line.

*Fool – The Muse would like you to embark on a new journey or exploration.  If you have a project in mind these two weeks would be a great time to start.  However, if you are at a lost where to start, the muses would like you to explore your surroundings without an agenda.  To let the road and your heart lead you.  This can be as easy as taking a new route to work or as complicated as looking for a new career/passion path.  The key is believing in and following your joy, as well as being okay seeming just a bit foolish along the way.
